Baptisms
Holy Baptism (or “Christening”) is open to anyone, for themselves or their children.
In the AIC, baptisms can be held at a public service, scheduled throughout the year after the morning service, or in a private ceremony arranged for you, your family, and friends. This can take place anywhere—at home, in your garden, a favourite spot, or a hired venue.
Baptism marks a new beginning, celebrating a person’s commitment to the Christian faith and their journey of growth. When babies or children are baptised, parents and godparents pledge to model Christian values and seek the Church’s guidance in teaching them about Jesus Christ. It is also a celebration of new life, a gift from God, shared with the whole Church.
