Why does God allow them to happen?

I believe God is deeply saddened by the state of the world, just as we are. But for years, we’ve told Him to stay out of our schools, government, and lives—and being the gentleman He is, He stepped aside. How can we expect His blessings and protection when we demand He leave?

Consider recent tragedies—terrorism, natural disasters, school shootings. Where did it begin? When Madeleine Murray O’Hare (later found murdered) opposed school prayer, we accepted it. When someone called for the Bible to be removed from schools—despite its teachings on love, morality, and justice—we accepted it.

Dr Benjamin Spock warned against disciplining children, fearing it would harm their self-esteem (ironically, his own son later took his life). Experts always know best? We accepted it. Schools abandoned discipline due to fear of bad publicity and lawsuits. We accepted it.

We allowed laws permitting underage abortions without parental consent. We distributed condoms in schools, assuming “boys will be boys.” We accepted it. We tolerated leaders who claimed their private lives were irrelevant as long as the economy was strong. We accepted it.

We legalised pornography under the guise of “art” and “free speech,” even as it escalated into more depraved forms. We accepted it. Entertainment glorifies profanity, violence, drugs, and immorality. It’s just entertainment, they tell us. We accepted it.

And now, we wonder why children lack conscience, why violence, suicide, and cruelty feel normal to them. Actions have consequences—we reap what we sow.

Society ridicules God yet asks why the world is in chaos. The media shapes our beliefs, but the Bible is dismissed. Politics, jokes, and sex are fair topics in schools and workplaces—but not God.

Are we willing to make the necessary changes to fix what we’ve allowed? We can stand for something or fall for anything! You decide what to do next.
